You guys were a lot of fun. The music was hypnotic, the crowd was surprisingly big and enthusiastic, the dancing was easy to pick up.

It's worth it to get to Golden Fes for that very first set of the night. This band is hot! And I'm not saying that just because I'm a resident of 20902. Some of the band members also play with the trad Bulgarian band Ljuti Chushki, but you'll be stunned at hearing them in this different setting. The 2 bands beautifully complement each other. The Balkanics have fans who fly cross country to hear them. For real! Not to mention the DC bar patrons who couldn't resist getting up to dance to a kind of music they'd never heard before.
